Memorable Animals in Literature

 HelpUCover created a cool graphic of Memorable Animals in Literature.

Before you hop over to take a look at the graphic make yourself a list of animals from literature (don't forget children's lit) in my comment section. Let's see if we come up with more than they did. (don't peek below if you want to do it without looking at my list.)

    Great ones here! Since I recently just read Animal Farm, I will include all the characters there! But ah, Harry Potter animals are the ones that first came to my mind when I read your post!

    My husband came up with a few good ones: Winn Dixie (Dog in Because of Winn Dixie) and Old Yeller (Dog) and Toto in the Wizard of Oz.

    I just thought of another: the pugs in Mansfield Park...though they really aren't very memorable since they don't have names.
