After leaving Birch Bay, Don and I drove south through La Conner, Washington hoping to find a tulip field in bloom. We were worried about the weather because the reports said it would rain, even with the possibility of a thunderstorm. We totally lucked out. The weather was sunny, though a bit cold and windy and the tulips were in bloom. Oh boy, were they in bloom. Check out a few of our photos. They don't do justice to gorgeous colors and the whole experience.
|This artist was setting up his easel just as we were parking the car. After making our way around the whole field we returned to our car and couldn't believe his progress on the painting. Amazing.|
