We'd planned to go to Italy last summer and then we discovered we needed a new roof. :-( We'd planned to go to Italy this summer and then my son decided to get married. :-( So now we are thinking that we won't even try to plan a trip to Italy next summer...It's just not to be, I think.
ReplyDeleteCharming. These photos are charming, just wonderfully charming. Thank you.
This trip was the "make-up" trip for the one we had planned in 2011 because my husband was diagnosed with cancer that Spring. Go ahead and plan a trip for next summer and it will happen!
DeleteI definitely want to enjoy some of these specialties of Italy. I have loved oil and vinegar with bread in Italian restaurants here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
Love the quirky parts of traveling and the differences one encounters. The trip sounds magical.
ReplyDeleteNice pics. Love to have a cappuccinos but probably wouldn't want to start drinking so not to disturb the foam art.
ReplyDeleteThe cappuccino that I have pictured here was not only the prettiest but the best tasting of the trip and it was made at a Burger King near the train station in Florence. After taking the picture I did drink it then wished my husband could have seen it. (He was away buying picnic foods for the next leg of our journey.) when he returned I made him order one himself so he could see the coffee artistry.
DeletePart of the joy of travel for me is embracing the quirky differences. I love the Italian things you pictured here.
ReplyDeleteLove those trees. I definitely associate them with Italy, even though I've never been there.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that Italians make pictures with olive oil and balsamic vinegar -- fun!

It was only one restaurant that did the fancy oil and vinegar. It was one of our favorite eatery spots, too.
DeleteLovely place, maybe someday I'll get to go! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous photos - looks like an amazing trip!! Love the smiley face and the Seussian trees.
