    1. I listened to it, also, then I went to a program where Michelle was speaking about the book. Obviously that was pre-COVID days.

  5. I enjoy nonfiction as well. I have not read any of these.

  6. Such a fun idea to list favorites per year. I definitely don't read enough non-fiction, but Becoming is on my TBR!

    1. I read more now that I am retired since I am not reading as much YA books as I did before. I like learning something when I read.

    1. I know. I became obsessed with her and with Kenya after reading West With the Night. I read all her books and as much as I could find about Markham.

  8. A great list. My oldest daughter, who is not a huge reader, actually read Unbroken of her own accord. It may have something to do with the fact it's about a WWII veteran, and she is a huge WWII buff!

  10. I absolutely loved The Anthropocene Reviewed! I haven't read any of the others (I don't generally enjoy non-fiction much), although my mom bought me Lab Girl last year for Christmas and I lied and told her I read it even though I didn't, so I should probably actually get around to that soon (Does that make me a bad daughter? Maybe).

    1. I know. Book club is probably why I love all these books. Discussion enhances how I feel about books for sure. We should read The Anthropocene Reviewed for club. It would give us tons to talk about.

  13. Nice list! I need to read more non-fiction. I've read one of these—UNBROKEN—and I really liked it. Several of these others are on my TBR list.

  16. I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but I really loved Michelle Obama's memoir. I'd really like to check out Trevor Noah's book as well, after going to South Africa last year, I think I'd find it more interesting.
