As a librarian everyone is always asking me for lists of books they should read. I am not very well read beyond the YA novels that I consume every year so I am always looking for lists of good books. Here is one that is actually over 1300 books long.
I actually have no idea who compiled this list. Perhaps it is a conference of scholars or maybe just a few geeky college kids sitting around making lists of books. I don't know.
Lest you think I am more well read than you, I've only read 90 books on this list. Many, many of them I do want to read. Many I've never heard of. :)

How sad! I've read many of the French ones(in French) while in college, but NOT by choice. :)
ReplyDeleteI know. As soon as someone tells me that I HAVE to read a book i suddenly get all negative on reading it. I even feel that way about book club selections some months. But how scholarly of you to read these classics in French!
DeleteI've only read 5. Not many of the others seem interesting to me. It would be interesting to find out who created the list.
