TTT: For people who like to read award books, my recommendations

Hosted by Broke and Bookish
Top Ten Tuesday:
I recommend these to people who want to read an award book.

I really enjoy reading well-written books so I try to read as many award books as I can each year, especially focusing on awards given to young adult books my students might like.

  1. Yes to Goldfinch and All the Light! I almost picked a similar topic given that the Baileys Prize shortlist was announced yesterday but when I looked at the past winners, I was struggling to list ten that I'd really loved (the main exception was Shriver's We Need to Talk About Kevin, a book that still haunts me).

    1. I don't know the Baileys Prize. I am leaving this comment and going away to do a little investigating...ah, it is the most prestigious book award given to women authors in the UK. I'll keep my eye on that.

    1. I know that feeling. When I read other bloggers' lists I keep adding more and more books to my TBR pile.

  6. I always forget how much I love Sherman Alexie until I hear someone else talk about him. I still haven't read I'll Give You The Sun even though I've been meaning to for awhile now. Great List!

    1. That is the way I feel, too. I recently read two other books by him and was reminded just how much I like his writing.

  10. Oh yes, award books. I really should seek out more because after all they won awards for a reason, right? I'll Give You the Sun is one I really want to read soon. Nice list!

  11. I've been meaning to get to several books on this list. The only one I've read so far is All The Light We Cannot See. I really liked it.

  12. Curious about John Green's novel since I didn't "hate" TFIOS (I'm not usually a sad-ending reader). Anyway, at some point I might be brave and give it a try. :)

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland. :)
