Book Beginnings on Friday is hosted by Rose City ReaderShare the opening quote from the book.
Th
e Friday 56 is hosted at Freda's VoiceFind a quote from page 56.

Check out the links for the rules and for the posts of the participants each week. Participants don't select their favorite, coolest, or most intellectual books, they just use the one they are currently reading. This is the book I'm reading right now---

Title: Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton

Book Beginnings:
I was loved. If love could prevent pain, I'd never have suffered.
Friday 56:
The priest is watching me shake and I know he's thinking that I'm some sort of junkie, and I am, but I'm also just cold.
Comment: Love Warrior is a memoir by Glennon, a bulimic-alcoholic. It is about love and loneliness, family, and getting well.

  1. "If love could prevent pain." Haven't we all wished that at some stage of our lives? Beautiful.

Today I'm sharing an oldie - 1984 by George Orwell.
