Snapshot Saturday is hosted at West Metro Mommy Reads. All photos must be originals.
Last Saturday this tree in my backyard (center) was mostly green with just a few leaves turning red, now a week later it is in full autumn display. I bet next next Saturday the majority of its leaves will be on the ground. (Trees shown left to right:Variegated Japanese Willow, Purple Mountain Ash, Sweetgum.)
“Look, the trees are turning their own bodies
into pillars of light,
and giving off the rich fragrance of cinnamon
and fulfillment..."

Lovely contrast, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou must enjoy watching that color change. Great that you know the tree varieties. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWow you guys do autumn so well!
ReplyDeleteSydney is too temperate to put on much of an autumn display, so I love seeing your pics (although it's weird seeing autumn photos as we head into spring.)
I absolutely love fall for the color, crispness of the air and the smell of it! Gorgeous pic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and perfect choice of accompanying lines by Oliver, Anne.

Beautiful photo! I have been sick for a couple of weeks and am really missing spending time outdoors (though I did get out on the deck today to read a bit).
