1. Read at least 9 books a month, per average.
2. Read all the Printz Award and Honor Books.
3. Read all the American Library Association AWARD books (not necessarily HONOR) books in 10 categories. These will be announced the end of January.
4. Read at least five books that I have here at home. (I only read two of my own books last year.)
5. Listen to at least 20 Audiobooks.
6. Spend at least one month reading only books that I want and no books that I "have to read".
7. Read at least three Chris Crutcher books.
8. Read at least three Printz award books from previous years that I haven't read yet.
9. Read or listen to at least two classic books.
10. Turn off the computer and read more each day.
I'm on the computer way too long everyday and never give myself enough time to read. Great list, and thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your last goal! I always seem to be glued to a computer or iSomething. Unfortunately, most of my TBR pile are ebooks, and they're on the iPad.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by In Wonderland!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can accomplish your goals!
I think I should do the same about the computer too! :]
xo
The trickiest one for me is to turn off the computer and read! It certainly doesn't sound hard, does it?
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Top Ten Bloggish Bookish Goals for 2013. I hope you will stop by! And Happy New Year!
Hear hear to #10! It's so hard to balance blogging duties (reviews, memes, visiting other blogs) and still have time for reading afterwards!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of your goals in 2013!
Wow, very impressive goals, Anne! 9 books a month? Wow. I average about 6 a month.
ReplyDeleteAnd I especially like #10 - I definitely need to do that more often! I have specific productivity goals related to the computer and TV. Turn off the TV at 9 am (I like to catch the news in the morning but it's easy to get caught up in the entire Today show!), close Facebook and Blogger by 9 am, and put the laptop away for the night no later than 7 pm. I still spend too much time on it, but I am making some progress!
Good luck with your reading goals!

Oooh! I love your goal about shutting off the computer. That's an issue with me too, especially when I've delved into the blogging world. I hope you meet your goals!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I think turning off the computer more would help us all! Good luck on all of your goals :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten!
Reading classics! That's something I should've added to my list. Thanks for sharing and stopping by!

Wow, I could never read 9 books a month, what with homeworks and stuff. #10 is a huge problem for me, and I should've included that on my list too! :D Good luckand happy reading :)
