Top Ten Tuesday is hosted at The Broke and Bookish
I love The Hate U Give! It's definitely one of my favourite books of this year :)
ReplyDeleteLouise - Exploring by Starlight
I've never read The Outsiders but I loved the movie. I really should read it.
ReplyDeleteI've just been reminded why I enjoy stopping by your blog - YES YES YES to so many of these wonderful books!
ReplyDeleteI particularly love that three are either set in Australia of by Australian authors :-)
PS Happy belated 60th birthday!
Thanks. I always enjoy visiting your blog, too. Yes, I do try to read Aussie authors or books set in Australia but I don't do a good job of keeping up.
DeleteWow, this is a great list. So, I've read TFiOS, The Outsiders and HP. I have the audiobook for The Hate U Give and I guess I should get to is soon :)
ReplyDeleteI listened to The Hate U Give on audiobooks and it was a perfect format for it.
DeleteI love this idea for a list! So many great titles. I also loved The God of Small Things and Little Bear. My post for today is Old School Kidlit Favorites Through the Decades.
ReplyDeleteI am tempted to read Roy's second book, just published this year but I have heard it is a disappointment after The God of Small Things.
DeleteNice list! I've read and enjoyed several of these (Harry Potter, The Outsiders, A Wrinkle in Time) Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with your list! Beloved - one of the best books I read in college, and one of the more difficult. :)
ReplyDeleteBELOVED is very deep but so good.
DeleteAwesome list, Anne! I hope to re-read A Wrinkle in Time soon. The Outsiders is one of my all-time favorites. And The Hate U Give is one of my favorites this year. I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHow did the re-read of Wrinkle in Time go? I loved it so much as a kid I'd hate to tarnish its memory if I don't like it as much as an adult.
DeleteWhat a great list Anne! :-) Happy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the birthday greeting. I turned 60 in February and I've spent the whole year celebrating by having 60 small celebrations with old friends.
DeleteGreat list and I love the creative spin you put on it!
ReplyDeleteA wrinkle in Time is on my re-read list. I read it when I was younger, and since it's being turned into a movie.
I am so glad to see Harry Potter on your list. I haven't seen it on many lists today.
I feel like I am the only one that hasn't read The Hate You Give, and I really have to get my hands on that one!
Great list, and I hope you have a great day!

Actually Harry Potter could have been on the list several times. I think it is the most delightful series EVER!
DeleteThis is so cool! What an interesting way to organize the list. The Fault in Our Stars was definitely my favorite book of 2012 as well, and I am hoping his newest book out in October will be my newest favorite!

I love this idea. Now you need to go back and make a list of adult and children's books for every year of your life. That might be fun for me to do also.
ReplyDeleteI actually did create this list for every year of my life last summer and it took FOREVER to create because who knows the publication dates of all books one likes. Here is that list, if you care to look: Books from every year of my life
DeleteThis is such an amazing topic! I absolutely love this post! The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is one of my favorites! I haven't read The Hate U Give yet but I definitely plan to soon. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten Tuesday!
I read Oscar Wao as part of my Pulitzer Challenge and was so glad I got to it. It really shouldn't be overlooked.
DeleteThis is a very cool idea!

I loved On the Beach; it made a huge impact on me.
ReplyDeleteAww I ADORE this idea! And the books you chose are fabulous too- I especially love TFIOS and THUG, both such great choices. I was born in 1982, and it's amazing to see the books that were released that year- I mean,The Color Purple and Schindler's List, pretty epic year! Fabulous list!!
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with this list. I bought Oscar Wao not too long ago and can't wait to dive in. Great list!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I want to read the Color Purple someday.
ReplyDeleteCool way to spin this weeks Top Ten Tuesday. :) I've read TFIOS and much to my surprise, I actually liked it a great deal better than I anticipated.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.
You've got some awesome books on that list! Feed is one that I recommend often to people.
