It's Friday! Book Blogger Hop Time!

Book Blogger Hop

Thank you Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books for taking my suggestion that we all give a link to one of our favorite blog posts in the past three months.  I love the idea of really getting to know other bloggers by their writing styles and the books they like to review.  So here goes...one of my favorite recent blogs was for the book The Last Summer of the Death Warriors by Francisco X. Stork. I really admire the author's writing style and the integrity that he brings to his stories. Take a look.

  3. I'm visiting from the Hop! You have a really interesting blog. Nice to see a review of Louis Sachar. Also nice to see Barbara Kingsolver characters on your favorite heroines list (I love the main character in Animal Dreams). I'm looking forward to reading more of your reviews.

  4. Thanks for stopping by my site and checking out my review of Mockingjay, Anne. You're right - opinions are quite varied with that book, but I'm not surprised. I think that with a series followed by so many people, it would be hard to satisfy everyone. Perhaps that is one of the benefits of having standalone books. I've never heard of Last Summer of the Death Warriors, but I have heard of Marcelo and the Real World. I signed the latter out of the library, but didn't have the time to read it before it needed to be returned. Sounds like a great writer. :)
