We sometimes read a book that's just fun and those don't always lend themselves to discussion. There needs to be something we can really talk about in depth.DoingDeweyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902496432225294188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4083328248557950617.post-81994084553119654392018-08-02T14:45:26.542-07:002018-08-02T14:45:26.542-07:00This is such an interesting post! I liked The Dry and Force of Nature a lot but I always like to read a series in order even if they aren’t completely related so I can see why that would be a tricky book club choice! When I did some research on book group reads the number one thing people wanted was a book you could have a good discussion about, and that was usually one that caused some kind of dissent and disagreement. So I can tell you that The Bell by Iris Murdoch is a good book group book as the majority of 25 groups thought so!LyzzyBeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16398604923871095647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4083328248557950617.post-68801495645522180652018-07-30T16:26:04.359-07:002018-07-30T16:26:04.359-07:00Great tips, Anne! It's gritty though and full of ethical dilemmas among its characters.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17197599882756386184noreply@blogger.com
