I al...I agree with you, I find them so fascinating. I always found the story so intriguing, but after visiting St. Petersburg, I was definitely hooked! Our tour guide mentioned them a lot, especially places where they were rumored to be and such, and memorials. My mom got a book about them but it's kind of tedious. This sounds like it would be much more my speed.
